Opening an unusual accommodation venture: the geodesic dome for campsites and estates

For a campsite, a wine estate or a guesthouse, the dome is an extra unit that can be installed within a few days, with a price positioning above standard pitches.
Choosing the location
The panoramic front is the main selling point: orient it towards the best view, away from overlooking neighbours and noise.
Check access to utility networks, or plan for self-sufficient operation, depending on your positioning.
Building the offer
Three levels of offer work well:
- A simple nature stay, with sleeping area and shared sanitary facilities
- A comfort stay with a private shower room and heating
- A premium stay with hot tub, terrace and breakfast included
Extending the season
20 mm insulation, an optional aluminium lining and suitable heating allow operation outside the summer months, which radically changes the profitability calculation.
Planning the timeline
Delivery takes an average of 6 to 8 weeks after payment is received: plan for at least one quarter before your targeted opening date, including assembly and fit-out.
